About me
The ocean has always been a part of Ashley's life, growing up along the Monterey Bay in Aptos. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and a Master of Art degree in Marine Conservation and Policy. Through the master’s program, she was introduced to Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and has been sharing MPA messaging with visitors of all ages in California State Parks ever since. Ashley spends most of her time during the school year presenting virtual field trips, live from a kayak in Whalers Cove at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. She is also a member of California State Parks Dive Team, which gives her the opportunity to present live underwater broadcasts that are shared with students around California and beyond.
